Alaska does have pretty sunsets
And it brings out the crowds too! I was a little slow to get out and shoot the sun going down. I got to the boat launch right after it went behind the mountains. But Macy and I weren't the only ones down there.
I've photographed the Cosmic Wind before, but she looks like she's been put on the shelf for now.
The Fur Rondy Carnival is in full swing. Would you get on those rides when it's 20° out?
This was a friendly fellow at the launch that Macy got to talk with.
It was a good night to drive around for a bit.

Moose Parking Only!
As I said in earlier post, we've got so much snow this year, (118 inches so far) the moose are moving into neighborhoods where the snow isn't as deep. This way they have easier access to food and it's also easier for them to get around.
When it's time to take a nap, it really doesn't matter where you are. In front of the garage, in someones backyard, it don't really matter, it's nap time.
Much to Macy's objection, this moose seems to have adopted our small neighborhood. Many of the bushes are now professionally pruned back by moose landscaping.
