Lots of fishing going on

One morning after a light rain, I was taking a break when I noticed others doing what I should have been doing.

This lake had an issue with Northern Pike, an invasive species to this lake. ADF&G killed off the pike and restocked with Rainbow Trout.

I've never heard of such a thing...killing off the pike and restocking with trout. What makes the pike invasive and undesireable?

The pike wasn't natural to that lake or the streams feeding it. They killed off all other species of fish because of their aggressiveness. With them gone and the lake restocked, things should turn back to normal.
