TO Wrangell - St Elias National Park and back
One of the many neat things about volunteering where I do, is the neat places I get to go and the people I meet. I had the opportunity to go to Wrangell - St Elias National Park outside of Copper Center, Alaska this week. It's the largest National Park at 13.2 million acres with 16 of the highest peaks in the US and an active volcano. Though the short time I spent there wasn't near enough to see a lot, it left me wanting to come back for more.
My visit was hosted by the National Park Service. My new friend Shea, made sure that my accompany and I had a nice place to stay and we made it to where we were supposed to go.
The view from where we stayed was breath taking. Just sitting out and watching this view was great. Our event was Awesome and we met many people from all over the country and the world.
