Along Ship Creek

It's been a crazy busy summer. You can tell by the lack of post. I'll have a lot of catching up to do.

There's always wildlife along the Ship Creek Trail just a short walk away from downtown Anchorage.

Ops! Missed that one. There's an active beaver lodge and I do mean active.

They're always patrolling the banks for material to remodel with.

And it's always a good place for photography.

it's great to have those great subjects close to home!
What is that animal in your header, I wonder. It looks like two kinds of animal in one?

Always nice to see your photos. I'm always trying to spot a beaver when we're out and about --- we're sometimes passing sloughs, etc that have beaver activity (at least, what looks like their projects), but I have yet to actually see one of them. :)

Beautiful nature photos. It's always nice to have the convenience of the city yet be so close to nature.

Found your blog today and am so glad I did. My son lives near Ship Creek and I will be visiting him in September. Maybe those beavers will still be working away.

Great photography too! Can't wait to see what's next...
