Hot day at Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center
Temperatures in the upper 70°s might not seem hot to many of you, but to us in Alaska, it is hot. Then cover yourself in hair or feathers, and it is real hot.
AWCC got a donation of a pallet of expired melons and the animals we excited.

Even visiting ravens were sneaking in on the banquet.
The brown bears we just devouring ever crumb.
No, the mush ox didn't care. But when they brought over some fresh cut trees, that got their attention. The leaves were stripped off the branches is no time.
Is it me, or does the fireweed look extra beautiful and bright this year?

Thanks for the comment and follow on my blog. I enjoyed reading this post and seeing the animals. We don't have any bears in the UK so it's great to be able to see yours in Alaska. I'm looking forward to reading more and learning more about a country I don't know much about but have always been fascinated by.
