Lots of moose day

I left the house yesterday morning and got to the end of the street and what did I see? I was running late but had to stop and shoot a few pix's. They couldn't care less what I was doing. Cars were buzzing by and they continued with their snooze.

I drove back by later and they had moved up the street but I could stop to take more shots.

Later in the day I ran across these two having lunch at Russian Jack Park. They also didn't care what I was doing. It was real quiet back there though. Just a few cross country skiers and me.

Then on the side of Boniface Parkway this big one was eating the smallest bush around.

Well, speaking of eating, it was bound to happen. You have a nice resturant with nice scenery and good food and service and it's bound to close. ARGH!

Hi Dave
Nice post. I see on your sidebar that you only get about 7 hours of daylight at the moment - that's an awful lot of dark. We're getting double that here and there still aren't enough hours in the 'day'.

I never made it to the Bridge...I did hear good things about it, though.

Is it going a little easier at Bird TLC?

What an AMAZING place you live in! I am hoping to make the trip out in about 5 years i.e. once the kids are a little bigger. I have never seen a moose and they look incredible...

Amazing pix of the moose! I think they are the most fabulous animals but then I've said that all before. Sorry about the restaurant. Maybe it will open under new ownership??? Perhaps there is hope....

Boo - we're getting more and more daylight everyday.

Tixie - it wasn't bad. TLC is getting easier, but there's still a long ways to go.

Owlman - Be careful. You might make it a one way trip. :)

Meggie - there's always hope. Moose are cool.

Sorry about the restaurant, Dave. That's the way it is with me sometimes: Places I like to eat close, manufacturers stop making products I like, stores stop stocking merchandise I want to buy. They all seem to be trying to tell me that I'm out of step with the rest of the world, but I already knew that.

Great moose photos!

How cool it must be to drive around and see moose everywhere. A little bit of a reminder how life is wild around the edges.

Those are hungry moose, Dave! I imagine they can munch that vegetation to the ground in no time. Do people feed them in their backyards and other places?

chaipo - Me too!

Marvin - I'm out of step and two left feet. :)

Robin - it is cool and all while I'm still in town.

Ruthiej - they are eating machines. Some people do feed them but it is discouraged.
