The word "ballistic" comes to mind when I think of oil companies and their profits at our expense. I could get on my soapbox at this point, and it ain't pretty!

I'm of the opinion that private companies should make money, otherwise they'd be non-profit organizations or the Government. BUT... with profits like that it is obscene that every little rise in the price of crude (and I'm pretty sure that those are driven by the industry) they hike up the price at the pumps (and it never falls when the price drops). I suppose the free market thing to do is to stop supporting those that take excessive profits. Oh, and force them to pay their bills.

Hey Dave! Re: bent mower deck...I got careless...one of the ramps slipped while I was taking the tractor off my truck. It was pretty scary...happy I wasn't hurt, but my tractor wasn't so lucky. She'll be in ICU for awhile but hopefully will be back home real soon.

All I should say is that that "accident" could not have happened to a better company.

I really, really hate Exxon for so many reasons, not the least is the fact that they have tried to weasel out of every little fine regarding the Valdez. Uggg...
