Bring your hair or bring your wallet

The crew at Fire Station 12 is hosting a head shaving party for Brother Gary Bullock next Tuesday, November 17th from 6-7pm at Station 12. He is allowing us to shave his head and we are inviting all of you (men and women) to join in and get your head shaved with him in solidarity. Donations will be collected and the money raised will go to the American Cancer Society chapter here in Anchorage.

There are many of our brothers and sisters on the AFD both current and
retired, family members, and close friends that are fighting this battle and this is your chance to show them your support.

It is after all just hair, it will grow back and it is way over rated in the
first place. I have been bald for 5 years now and will never go back (not
that I have much say in the matter). For those of you hanging on to the
dream of a full head of hair, what better a way to face reality and speed up the process?

Thanks in advance for your support of all those fighting Cancer and we hope to see all of you here next week.

Fire Station 12 is at 7920 Homer Drive (East 80th Ave and Homer Drive), between the New and Old Seward Highways. Access via southbound New Seward, get off at the 76th ave exit and follow the frontage road(Homer Drive) south to the fire station. or, take 80th eastbound from Old Seward Highway- can't miss it. or, take Briarwood north from Dimond(next to Sicily's Pizza) to 80th and then east to the station. The station faces the Seward Highway and there's a big flagpole and an antenna tower. See more information below.

Hope to see you there!

BTW, Gary is also VP of the Bird TLC Board of Directors. This was sent to me unofficially by a member of AFD.
