Today is the day all Alaskans got to work (unless you work for the state or a bank) and wonder why all the state offices and banks are closed. You would think that a state like ours that is so large, so beautiful, that's one of the few that isn't floundering financially, is in the political spotlight (I wish that would go away), would celebrate leaving Russian possesion and becoming a territory of the US
