Jeep time

Megan works at Bird TLC and is a friend of ours. She and I have been threatening to work on her old Jeep for most of the summer. Earlier this summer we did do a tune up and that's when we noticed the water pump leaking.

After many postponements for many different reasons, we finally got together this weekend. After a new water pump, thermostat, and serpentine belt, she was almost ready to go. We'll have to put some new radiator hoses on it. That's something we should have got, but didn't. It's a 10 minute job I'll do tomorrow during lunch and then take her Jeep to her at work. She can then give me a ride home.

What I thought was cool was that she wasn't bashful about jumping right in and getting a little greasy helping out. She asked a lot of good questions and even had some good ideas. She's a good helper for sure.

Nothing like a good woman who isn't afraid the get her hands dirty! Glad the job wasn't too complicated. Sometimes you never know....

I think it's cool that you did this for her Dave. Speaking only for myself, I would be willing to try some of my own auto repairs too, if I had someone who was patient and willing to teach me (some things you just can't learn from a book)
