This is such a great photo, Dave. I especially love it for the perspective it gives. Magpies are good-sized birds, but next to the eagle they look like chickadees!

Great shot of some black and white birds. It is always a thrill to see eagles even though they are becoming much more common. I even saw one recently in the Sierra foothills of California.

Local wildlife...eagles on a street light is not what most people would expect to see.

I'm not sure who would rule the roost. The eagle is outnumbered. Great shot, nonetheless.

This was taken in a city park parking lot while I ate lunch. The eagle was eyeing some mallards that didn't migrate, but where they were at it couldn't get a clean swoop at them. The magpies being corvids were mocking the eagle. It pretty much ignored the magpies until it had enough.
