Last Wednesday

It was an extremly slow day at work last Wednesday. I went by West Chester Lagoon where I ran into the trail groomers taking a break. They can take a long break now. The temps got into the 40°'s over the long weekend and there's no snow to speak of.

From there I headed out to the airport. There all kinds of things to look at around there. With the sun coming up later in the morning I got to see a decent sunrise.

On the way to an account I saw this moose eating along the fence line. Cars speeding by just a few feet away didn't phase him at all. Notice the tag on it's right ear?

If you want to see some neat moose pix's, go to Trixie's View. She even has some snow up at her place.

Great shot of the moose, an animal I have (unfortunately) never seen except in photos.

Hope you and Ruth had a good holiday, Dave. Great moose shot! I was over at Trixie's and saw hers also...they are awesome! Temps in the 40s, huh? May as well be in PA. Today is the first day of buck season...I'm hoping the big boy from my yard stays safe. Since it is raining today and there isn't any snow in the woods, it should increase his chance of survival.

Oh, no snow! And none in sight in the forecast. This is just depressing.

Marvin - They're all over up here. Thanks for stopping by.

Meggie - we did and I hope you did also. Lousy weather for winter right now for sure.

Trixie - it sure is.

Great new Blog Dave. I can't believe I missed hearing about it. And I could see the tag in the moose's ear, I just can't make out the price.

Clare - glad you finally made it. The moose is taking after Minnie Pearl. :)

Hi Dave,
I've visited your blog before but never commented till now. What's the ear tag for? Is he a nuisance moose? And do they tag them when they're calves?

ruthiej - Welcome Ruthie. This one is just tagged for statistics. I'm not sure when they tag them. They monitor how they migrate in and around the city. I think I was the nuisance. :)
